本项目位于天津大学校内，为新建教授工作室。建筑采用清水混凝土盒子形态，平面呈矩形，两侧与相邻旧建筑刻意脱开缝隙，内部植入小型庭院，以回应密度、光线与使用者的日常需求。新建建筑两侧与旧建筑各脱开缝隙，避免新旧建筑贴建带来的结构干扰与视线冲突，同时为混凝土盒子的完整呈现提供观看距离。缝隙底部铺设碎石并种植耐阴植物，上方不做覆盖，雨水与自然光可直接进入。从外部看，混凝土盒子与两侧红砖旧建筑之间形成两条幽深的竖向光缝，强化了新建体的独立性与当代感。
Located on the campus of Tianjin University, this newly built professor’s studio takes the form of a fair-faced concrete box with a rectangular plan. Narrow gaps are left between the new building and the adjacent old structures on both sides to avoid structural interference and visual conflict, while also providing distance to view the concrete box as a complete form. A small courtyard is inserted inside to address light, density, and daily user needs. The gaps are filled with gravel and shade-tolerant plants at the bottom, and left open above to allow rainwater and natural light in. From the outside, two deep vertical light slits are formed between the concrete box and the surrounding red-brick buildings, reinforcing the new volume’s independence and contemporary character.
