项目位于北京红砖美术馆旁的何各庄村内。2020年初，因村中有众多原始民宅，政府有望从改造民宅入手，设置艺术工坊，创造商业街道，引入产业聚集资源，打造何里栖地艺术设计小镇。因本项目属于建筑新建，所以在设计之初，秉承了村落当下的“文化+艺术”的发展理念，延续原始民宅中青砖及坡屋顶的建筑语言，结合现代建筑语境，创造出符合文化及未来发展的“当代合院”。成为首批落地的艺术工坊项目。
Located in Hegezhuang Village, next to the Red Brick Art Museum in Beijing. In early 2020, due to the large number of original residential houses in the village, the government planned to start with the renovation of these houses to establish art workshops, create commercial streets, introduce industrial clusters, and develop the Helixiang Art & Design Town. As a new construction project, the design adheres to the village‘s current “culture + art” development concept. It continues the architectural language of the original residential houses — grey bricks and pitched roofs — while integrating it into a contemporary architectural context, creating a “contemporary courtyard” that aligns with both cultural values and future development. This project has become one of the first art workshop projects to be realized.

业主为一对青年艺术家夫妇，育有两个小孩，还有一双年迈的父母。所以，建筑功能需要负荷青年夫妇的工作室、艺术展厅、青年之家以及老年之家的多重需求。
The owners are a young couple, both artists, with two young children and a pair of elderly parents. Therefore, the building program needs to accommodate multiple functions: the couple’s studio, an art gallery, a space for the young family, and a home for the elderly.
建筑一层主要为青年夫妇的工作室和艺术展厅，二层主要为住宅，从中区分开青年及老年之家。其中一层工作室与二层青年之家产生连通，满足青年夫妇工作及归家休息的复合需求。老年之家的归家流线则较为独立隐蔽，与工作室区域区分开来不受外界过多干扰。合院中心自然围合出景观庭院，为一层及二层均增添景观色彩。二层临近庭院设置露台，为工作人员及家人创造更多的共享空间。
The ground floor houses the young couple’s studio and an art gallery. The first floor contains the residential spaces, separating the young family’s home from the elderly parents’. The studio connects directly to the young family’s living area above, supporting their combined work-and-rest needs. The elderly parents’ entry is kept more independent and private, away from the studio area. A central courtyard brings landscape to both floors. A terrace on the first floor, adjacent to the courtyard, offers extra shared space for the family and studio users.
